Bloomsbury Flowers | International Women’s Day 2019
Bloomsbury Flowers was opened in 1994 by former Royal Ballet dancers, Stephen Wicks and Mark Welford, and quickly became synonymous with beautiful flowers, arranged beautifully.

International Women’s Day 2019

International Women’s Day 2019

March 8th is International Women’s Day and this global event is something to be celebrated, especially with flowers!  The first IWD was celebrated over 100 years ago and recognises women in all walks of life.

There have been numerous women throughout our careers as dancers and florists that have influenced us greatly, not least of all the great Ninette de Valois, fondly known as Madam, who was the founder of the Royal Ballet and Jane Packer whose flower course we did before opening Bloomsbury Flowers.

The colours chosen to represent IWD are traditionally purple, green and white but of course we will have a wide range of fresh flowers and foliage to make up gorgeous bouquets for the women that are important to you.

You know how to reach us so let us know which woman in your life you would like to make feel extra special on March 8th

More about IWD can be found here:
